The big hall or the big laboratory, whatever it's called, is unbearably dusty & as such isn't suitable for those with respiratory & dermatological conditions & allergies.

The lab technicians Chris & Barth can be creepy & play favourites sometimes, I don't know why that is though. Once I saw a six-pack of beer on their desk with them in their tiny office. I thought day drinking wasn't allowed on the job. It was just once but it obviously left a very bad impression of professional standards (alcohol and hazardous machinery do NOT mix!!)

You can see sometimes they treat students very differently depending on where they are from, sometimes yelling & speaking in a racist manner at some students, especially men from other countries. That honestly freaked me out because I never saw that before and trust me, I worked in labs at universities and companies.

Twice I saw them staring at women, probably because there are barely any women in that lab, many days there are none.

I've heard & seen this is apparently not an issue in other labs in the department. Oh well.

Some of the machines are very outdated & slow af - you can find newer state-of-the-art machines in similar labs of smaller universities elsewhere in Germany, France, the Netherlands & Austria!
So if you're looking for newer, faster up-to-date machines for your research you're better off looking elsewhere.
